Best device for documenting proof in a state that requires one party consent. We have rentals and have bad tenants sometimes who are disgruntled and who lie at times. And because we have multiple rentals sometimes we have tenants who team up on my partner and I as the landlords. the product is not only easy to hide but also, with the click of a button that looks like i’m writing to document something else. I can document conversations with police when clarifying poorly written TRO’s and backing up when someone tries to lie about saying something they did not say. Because it looks like a regular fancy pen nobody expects it. So it also doesn’t anger or cause someone to suspect a recording when I click it to turn it on. I’m literally using it for everything right now. And it’s been a god send!

I got this for my college classes. I am able to record the lesson and listen back to jot down any notes that I may have missed during class. Super simple to use, click to start recording and click again to stop. It can't get any easier than that right. My favorite feature of this pen is that I can instantly listen to what I recorded right after, undo the pen, and plug in earphones and I can listen. It's very handy if you need to study for an exam and I can just listen to the lesson again.

This digital recorder pen looks just like an ordinary pen! I tried it in my suit pocket and pant pocket and it recorded what I wanted it to. While the recording quality isn't great, it is better than what you would expect at this price point. I definitely recommend this pen for all of you overt/covert needs.

I bought this pen to record lectures with. I was a little worried at first because some other reviews had said that the pen isn't Mac compatible and you have to download an extra software to play the recordings. But, after doing a quick test I plugged it into my Mac and it worked right away!

This pen looks very professional and stylish, and there isn't anything to hint to anyone looking at it that it is anything other than a pen. This means it won't distract others during lectures or other recording sessions. The instructions are pretty clear, and the section about how to start and stop a recording is the most helpful. At first I was confused because I couldn't see any colored lights anywhere, but then I noticed that they are under the top of the pen clip. This makes it subtle so it isn't obvious that you're recording. I like that aspect of it since I have used it to help my kids hear how their tone sounds if they are mean to each other.

Looks and feels like a pen. I like that the ink portion comes out by twisting the lowermost portion, leaving the upper button for recording on/off only. What I don't understand is why anyone would put indicator lights on the FRONT of the pen, because even though they are under the clip you can still them in the seams of the clip. The whole point of having a recording pen is to be discreet. Since this is an easy fix by covering the lights with something, I'm still giving the pen four to FIVE STARS. The rebate is nice, too. I assume the battery life is awesome since there is no video, but I just opened the box and charged it for the first time.

The product arrived not working. Contacted seller and had a response within 2 hours and a replacement product sent, no questions asked, that arrived 3 days later. WOW - now that's the way a company should respond, rather than the run around I see from others. BTW - the new recorder worked great. Not obtrusive, well built with all accessories. Handy to keep in a shirt pocket to remind me what was said in a meeting.

Recorder is decent. It's not very sensitive, but catches meeting discussion and lectures pretty well. Seems to last forever, but I haven't gone past 2 hours. Pen writes nice. Included utility to set the time doesn't work on my Windows 10 installation, just gives an error and the time/date remains some time in late 2017. That's annoying... will try on an old Win7 machine. Otherwise, it's a good recording device that is easily whipped out and turned on without much notice.

This pen is amazing! It was ready to use when I took it out of the box, and it is extremely easy to work with. The pen itself is very nice looking and at first, glance might look like it is going to be complicated. Not at all! The volume is equally good when using headphones or listening to a recording on my laptop. The only downside is that I could hear myself using the pen to write notes at the same time as the speaker that I was recording, but you can still make out what the speaker is saying. I originally got this pen because I wanted to have an easy way to record myself when I practice making presentations. It works great for a clear recording and it writes nicely too. An awesome purchase that does NOT disappoint.

I was seeking out a discrete recorder to keep at my work desk. I had some suspicions my co-workers were talking behind my back when I stepped out. I really like the voice activated feature. That means it doesn't uselessly record dead air. It only records when it hears sounds. I was worried it wouldn't pick up their voices because our desks are all a couple of feet apart but the sound quality was good. I probably won't use the MP3 feature, but it's pretty impressive that a pen can do so many things. I feel like James Bond when I use it. Also, after listening back to my co-workers' conversation while I am away from my desk, turns out I'm just a little paranoid and insecure. Well, now I know I can trust them thanks to this voice recorder.

There's a little bit of background noise if you write with the pen while it's recording, but that's to be expected and all things considered, the amount of noise is minimal. It works better than I expected.

I purchased this item off of Amazon Market Place. The pen arrived to me quickly, I was able to easily set it up to work for my next meeting, and its actual performance was stellar. The pen is durable with an all-metal body. Two ink refill cartridges were included. Links were printed on included literature on how to set up, change an ink cartridge, and how to record an event. This product came with everything advertised plus links to training videos the end user may need. A truly spectacular means to record meetings, interviews, and other public venues.

They do stand behind their product. I had a question about how to play the file on MacBook. They responded to my questions very quick and even went an extra mile to make sure I understand how to use it thoroughly. If you are a MacBook user, download VLC player . The TCTEC Digital Voice Recording Pen has proven to be a good investment. It has a very sensitive pick up mic. I have found that if you carry your pen in a shirt pocket under a coat or jacket and are moving, the pen picks up the movement of of the fabric against the pen. Also, if you are outside the pen picks up any wind noise. These are characteristics of a very sensitive mic. In a seated meeting, it works very well and provides a very clear voice recording.

Great voice recorder. Voices are pretty clear even near a busy highway in a park and ride with the pen under a car seat. I could clearly hear my husband and his mistress making out before work. I could also hear them decide to move to the back of our van, no wonder he always had the seats out, and proceed to have 2 minutes of fun then look for their lost clothing in the dark. The battery lasted long enough for me to then hear them meet again after work and sit and talk for an hour about their 2 day camping trip they took 4 years earlier while I thought he was at work. I had no trouble transferring the files to my laptop and emailing them to her not so lucky husband. Great price, great deal. So happy with my purchase.
